Trading and Platforms

Which trading platforms are supported?

We provide access to the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform — the industry standard for multi-asset trading and market analysis. You can trade using: • Desktop terminals for Windows and macOS (available in the Download Center). • Mobile apps for iOS and Android. • WebTrader — trade directly from your browser without installation. All trading accounts are connected to official GLEX trading servers. Access to the platform becomes available immediately after you open a trading account in your Personal Area. For your safety, please use only official MetaQuotes software downloaded from our website.

How do I open or close an order?

To open a new order in MetaTrader 5: 1. Log in to the platform using your trading account credentials. 2. Select an instrument in the Market Watch window. 3. Click New Order, choose the order type (Market, Pending, Limit, or Stop), set the volume and parameters, then confirm the order. Note: Orders are executed at the best available price in the market. Execution may vary depending on liquidity and volatility conditions. To close or modify an order: 1. Go to the Trade tab in your terminal. 2. Select the open position you wish to close or adjust. 3. Click Close to exit the trade, or Modify to change Stop Loss / Take Profit levels or partially close the position. All orders are executed in accordance with the company’s Order Execution Policy, available on our website.

What is a swap, and how is it calculated?

A swap (or rollover) is a fee or credit applied when you keep a trading position open overnight. It reflects the interest rate difference between the two currencies in a pair or the cost of carrying a leveraged position. • Swaps are applied daily at 22:00 (server time) when a position remains open after the trading session closes. • The swap rate may be positive or negative, depending on the direction of your trade and current market interest rates. • A triple swap is charged on Wednesday (for FX instruments) or Friday (for commodities and indices) to account for weekend rollover. • Exact swap rates are listed in each instrument’s Contract Specifications in your trading terminal or on our website. Swap-free (Islamic) accounts are available upon request for eligible clients. Swap rates may be updated periodically to reflect market conditions and liquidity provider rates.

How do I set Stop Loss and Take Profit levels?

You can set Stop Loss and Take Profit levels when opening a new order or by modifying an existing position in your trading terminal. These levels automatically close your trade once the market reaches the specified price — helping you limit losses (Stop Loss) or secure profits (Take Profit). Please note: • The minimum distance between the current market price and your Stop/Take Profit level depends on each instrument’s trading conditions. • In highly volatile markets, orders may be executed at the next available price — this is known as slippage and is part of normal market behavior. • If your account equity falls below the required margin level, positions may be closed automatically according to the Margin Call and Stop Out rules. Full details are provided in our Order Execution Policy.

What are the margin call and stop-out levels?

Margin Call occurs when your account equity falls to 80% of the required margin. The Stop-Out level — the point at which the system automatically begins closing open positions to prevent a negative balance — varies depending on your account type and may range from 0% to 50%. Exact parameters for each account category are specified in the Account Specifications and the Order Execution Policy.

Can I use Expert Advisors (EAs) or copy trading?

Yes, GLEX fully supports automated trading via Expert Advisors (EAs), scripts, and copy-trading services. However, the use of arbitrage, latency, or abusive trading strategies is prohibited under the Client Agreement.

Why was my order rejected or pending for too long?

This may happen due to insufficient margin, low liquidity, requotes, or temporary trading halts. Please check the Journal tab in MetaTrader 5 for details and ensure your internet connection is stable.
